Ingredients

  • 1 lb. skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar Ortega mild thick and chunky salsa
  • 1 (4 oz.) can Ortega diced green chiles
  • hot cooked rice or flour tortillas
  • dairy sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, over medium-high heat, cook chicken, onion, and garlic in oil until the chicken is no longer pink.
  2. Add salsa, diced green chiles, and oregano to the skillet.
  3. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve over rice or in tortillas.
  5. Top with sour cream, if desired.
