- Cream butter.
- Add sugar slowly; beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time.
- Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
- Combine milk and vanilla.
- Mix in crushed nuts.
- Add flour mixture and milk alternately to butter and nut mixture, stirring in gently and thoroughly.
- Set mixture aside momentarily. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.
- Fold in thoroughly with mixture set aside.
- Spoon into well-greased and lightly floured Bundt pan.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tests done.
