Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 5 medium potatoes (1-inch cubes)
  • 4 medium carrots (1/2-inch pieces)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced into 1/4 to 1/2-inch wedges
  • 3 to 4 medium celery stalks, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans sliced tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. quick cook tapioca
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. water

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Bake in 3-quart covered casserole dish for 5 hours at 275°.
