Hack'S Five Hour Stew
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces ⓘ
- 5 medium potatoes (1-inch cubes) ⓘ
- 4 medium carrots (1/2-inch pieces) ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, sliced into 1/4 to 1/2-inch wedges ⓘ
- 3 to 4 medium celery stalks, cut in 1/2-inch pieces ⓘ
- 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans sliced tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp. quick cook tapioca ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. sugar ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/4 c. water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Bake in 3-quart covered casserole dish for 5 hours at 275°.
