Ingredients

  • 3 to 5 lb ham butt
  • 2 large heads cabbage
  • potatoes
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the ham into small pieces and place in a large pot with 1/4 to 1/2 full of water.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook for about 30 minutes.
  4. Cut the cabbage heads into quarters and add to the pot.
  5. Add potatoes to the pot.
  6. Cover the pot and simmer until the potatoes are done.
  7. Serve hot.
