Ham-Broccoli-Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 c. cooked ham, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 pkg. frozen broccoli or 1 lb. fresh
  • 2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • salt and pepper
  • unbaked 10-inch deep dish pastry shell

Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli until tender; chop coarsely.
  2. In unbaked pie shell spread 1/2 ham, broccoli, cheese and onion.
  3. Repeat layers. Gradually stir the milk into the beaten egg; add seasonings. Pour carefully on top of filled pie.
  4. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons cheese on top.
  5. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
  6. Lower temperature to 325°.
  7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes longer.
  8. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
  9. Serves six.
