Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can sweet potatoes
  • 16 oz. pkg. ham steaks (8 slices)
  • 16 oz. can Italian green beans, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 20 oz. can pie sliced apples, drained
  • 8 oz. can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Drain sweet potatoes, reserving 1 tablespoon of syrup, then slice the sweet potatoes.
  3. On 4 sheets of heavy foil, layer ham slices, sweet potatoes, green beans, and drained pie sliced apples.
  4. Combine cranberry sauce, reserved syrup, and Dijon mustard to make the sauce mixture.
  5. Spoon cranberry mixture over the layered ham and vegetables.
  6. If desired, sprinkle apple slices and sweet potatoes with brown sugar.
  7. Wrap up the foil pouches loosely and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 400°F until heated through, about 20 minutes.
  9. Transfer to serving plates and pour juices over all.
