Ingredients

  • 2 c. Crisco shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 10 eggs
  • 4 c. plain or cake flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Pet evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F.
  2. Grease and flour a large tube pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the Crisco shortening and sugar together.
  4. Add flour and eggs alternately, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add evaporated milk and flavorings (lemon and vanilla).
  6. Beat the mixture well until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 2 1/2 hours.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool before removing from the pan.
