Ingredients

  • 4 cups canned tomatoes, cut up
  • 2 1/2 cups herb stuffing mix, divided
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon leaf oregano, crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon leaf rosemary, crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. In a buttered 2-quart casserole, mix together the canned tomatoes and 2 cups of stuffing mix.
  2. Stir in the chopped onion, sugar, salt, nutmeg, crumbled oregano, crumbled rosemary, and black pepper.
  3. Dot the top with butter and sprinkle the remaining stuffing mix over the mixture.
  4. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
