Ingredients

  • 1 large jar herring in wine sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 bunch scallions sliced

Instructions

  1. Drain the herring and cut into small pieces.
  2. Mix the chopped herring with mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, sugar, and sliced scallions.
  3. Serve the dip on crackers or cocktail rye.
