Walnut Vegetable Medley

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. green beans
  • 1 1/2 lb. carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 cup Diamond walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cut green beans into 1 1/2-inch lengths.
  2. Pare and slice carrots.
  3. Cook green beans separately in salted water until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.
  4. Cook carrots separately in salted water until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.
  5. Drain vegetables and toss with butter or margarine.
  6. Add grated lemon peel and chopped walnuts before serving.
