Ingredients

  • 3 ripe apples
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
