Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 2 grated lemons
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 baked pie shells

Instructions

  1. Mix egg yolks and milk in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Mix sugar and flour, and add to eggs and milk mixture.
  3. Stir over boiling water until thickened.
  4. Add grated lemons and margarine to the mixture.
  5. Pour the filling into baked pie shells.
  6. Add vanilla flavoring to the pie before serving.
