Ingredients

  • 16 cups pears
  • 15 cups sugar
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 2 boxes Certo

Instructions

  1. Peel pears and lay them in a pan of water.
  2. Shred pears and add lemon juice.
  3. Put the shredded pears and lemon juice in a thick-bottomed pot.
  4. Add sugar and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Boil for 20 minutes.
  6. Add the two boxes of Certo and boil for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Seal the hot jelly in warm jars with boiled jar caps.
