Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1/3 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Remove stem ends and seeds from the peppers and cut them in half.
  2. Cover the peppers with boiling water three times, allowing the water to stand for 3 minutes each time before draining.
  3. Pack the prepared peppers into a jar.
  4. Boil water, salt, vinegar, and sugar together for 10 minutes to make the brine.
  5. Fill the jar with hot brine, ensuring the peppers are covered and the jar is filled to overflowing, then seal.
  6. Process the sealed jars in boiling water bath for 15 minutes for proper preservation.
