Honey Chops

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 pork chops, boned and trimmed (1/2-inch thick)
  • 2 scallions, cut into rings
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown chops for about five minutes on each side.
  3. Lower heat; cook for 10 minutes on each side or until the middle is no longer pink.
  4. In the meantime, combine scallions, honey, soy sauce and cayenne.
  5. When meat is cooked, remove from pan and place on a heatproof platter. Pour the remaining combined ingredients into the pan.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir for a minute to heat and thicken.
  7. Pour over chops and serve.
