Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, salt, honey, and water in a saucepan and stir until dissolved.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 242°F (soft ball stage).
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and pecan halves.
  4. Stir gently until the mixture becomes creamy.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto waxed paper and let cool until set.
