Honey Wheat Beer Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 ounces honey wheat beer

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Lightly greast a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flours, baking powder, salt and brown sugar.
  4. Add 1/4 c honey and beer, stirring well.
  5. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
  6. Brush 1 tablespoon honey and melted butter over dough.
  7. Bake 50 minutes.
