  • 2 qt. apple juice
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 4 (3 x 1/2-inch) strips orange rind
  • ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except nutmeg in a Dutch oven and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove and discard the spices.
