Tips & Substitutions

For a spicier flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or ginger to the spice bag. If you prefer a sweeter drink, adjust the sugar to taste, or substitute with honey or agave syrup. You can also use herbal tea bags instead of regular tea bags for a caffeine-free option. For a festive twist, try incorporating flavors reminiscent of Traditional Wassail.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this delightful tea hot in mugs, garnished with fresh orange slices for a pop of color and extra flavor. It pairs beautifully with sweet treats like muffins or scones, and is an excellent complement to hearty breakfasts, including Sugar-Cured Hams. Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover Hot Breakfast Tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of water if the tea has thickened. Be careful not to bring it to a full boil again, as this can alter the flavor.
