Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 1/3 cups white Karo syrup
  • red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, water, and Karo syrup at medium to high heat until hard cracked stage (300°F), approximately 35 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add red food coloring and one 0.25-ounce bottle of cinnamon flavoring.
  4. If a hotter flavor is desired, add more cinnamon flavoring.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a greased or buttered cookie sheet until it hardens.
  6. Crack into pieces and enjoy!
  7. To harden faster, refrigerate the candy.
