Hot Cucumbers

Ingredients

  • 3 qt. sliced cucumbers
  • 2 lb. sliced onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 (4 oz.) jar pimento
  • 1/3 c. salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients, except cucumbers, and dissolve.
  2. Pour over cold cukes.
  3. Keeps all winter in refrigerator.
  4. Makes 5 quarts.
  5. Keep adding cukes.
  6. Keep liquid no longer than 6 months.
