Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cake yeast
  • 2 tablespoons melted shortening
  • 3 cups flour

Instructions

  2. Crumble the yeast into 1 cup of flour and add to the water mixture, mixing well.
  3. Add melted shortening and 2 cups of flour, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Let the mixture rise until about 11 o'clock, then shape into rolls and bake as desired.
