Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. broken nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter and milk.
  2. Cook in heavy saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves to soft ball stage (238°).
  3. Cool at room temperature without stirring until lukewarm (110°).
  4. Add
  5. vanilla.
  6. Beat
  7. until mixture holds its shape and loses gloss.
  8. Add nuts and quickly spread in greased pan.
  9. Cool and eat and get fat!!
