- Combine water, yeast, and sugar; let stand for 10 minutes.
- Add salt, vegetable oil, and 5 cups of bread flour; knead, adding up to 1/2 cup more flour if needed.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a slightly warm oven until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough in half and shape into two loaves; place in greased loaf pans.
- Brush the loaves with melted margarine and bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Remove from pans immediately and let cool slightly before slicing.
