Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and butter.
  3. Using two knives, cut the mixture repeatedly until it becomes coarse and crumbly.
  4. Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, covering the bottom and halfway up the sides.
  5. Spread both cans of cherry pie filling evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cake mixture over the cherry filling.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
