Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 can fruit pie filling

Instructions

  1. Mix together sugar and oil.
  2. Add 4 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix in salt and vanilla.
  4. Sift flour and add 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Spread 3/4 of batter onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Cover with fruit pie filling.
  7. Dribble remaining batter over the pie filling.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes or at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
