A hearty Italian-inspired dish featuring tender meatballs simmered in tomato sauce, served over ravioli and topped with Parmesan cheese, perfect for comforting family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
  • 2 cans (14 3/4 or 15 oz.) ravioli
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Lightly form the ground chuck into 24 meatballs.
  2. In a large skillet, heat salad oil over medium heat and brown the meatballs about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain off excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Add tomato sauce and dried herbs to the skillet with meatballs, simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Cook ravioli according to package instructions, then drain.
  6. Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked ravioli, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
