Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. stout (e.g. Guinnes extra)
  • 2 dessert tsp. honey or syrup
  • 2 dessert tsp. butter or margarine
  • mixed spices
  • 1 c. mixed fruit
  • 1 to 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Dissolve sugar, butter and honey in stout over medium heat. Add spices and cheese.
  2. Put mixed fruits in flour.
  3. Beat eggs and mix all together.
