- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the beef cubes over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
- Arrange the browned beef in a large casserole dish.
- Add pearl onions and mushrooms over the beef.
- Pour the cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom soup if no mushrooms are available) over the ingredients in the casserole dish.
- Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
- Serve hot, garnished if desired.
