Decadent toffee bars with crunchy graham crackers, rich caramel-like topping, and toasted pecans, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings at gatherings or casual treats.

Ingredients

  • 48 graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 pound real butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Separate the graham crackers and cover the bottom of a large rectangular pan lined with waxed paper.
  2. Bring the butter to a boil in a saucepan, then add brown sugar and stir constantly. Boil for about 2 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and chopped pecans to the mixture.
  4. Pour the hot mixture over the crackers in the prepared pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and cut into bars while still warm.
