Janice'S Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped ⓘ
- 2 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder ⓘ
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 1 large can tomatoes ⓘ
- 1 bay leaf ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. oregano ⓘ
- salt and pepper ⓘ
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) box lasagna noodles, cooked ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. dry cottage cheese ⓘ
- Mozzarella cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook onion and ground beef until meat loses pink color.
- Add next 8 ingredients (whirl tomatoes in blend).
- Cook over low heat about 3 hours.
- Layer in large casserole 1/2 the noodles, cottage cheese, additional Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with sauce.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake for 1/2 hour at 350°.
