Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream the sugar with the butter.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients: salt, flour, coconut, and vanilla.
  3. Shape the dough into two rolls and chill until firm.
  4. Cut the rolls into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  5. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm.
