J.B.'S Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle unseasoned barbecue sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. light Karo
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoning salt
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/3 stick margarine
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cayenne

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in order in a medium-sized saucepan with heat on low to medium.
  2. Simmer for 20 minutes with occasional stir to keep from sticking.
  3. Add more lemon juice for tartness if desired.
  4. Store in refrigerator in a sealed container for later use.
