Ingredients

  • 1 c. salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. cold water

Instructions

  1. Mix 1/2 cup water and salt together; simmer and stir for 2 minutes.
  2. Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup water; remove from heat.
  3. Add the cornstarch mixture to the salt water and mix well.
  4. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin between two pieces of wax paper.
  5. Cut shapes with a knife or cookie cutter, or model figures or jewelry.
  6. Wet your hands to keep the dough firm and smooth as you work.
  7. Allow the dough to dry over several days.
