Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 oz. instant coffee
  • fifth of vodka
  • 1 vanilla bean

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and instant coffee in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer slowly until syrupy, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Add vodka and vanilla bean to the cooled syrup.
  5. Pour the mixture into jars.
  6. Age at least 3 weeks in a cool, dark place before using.
