Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. superfine sugar
  • 1 large lemon, thinly sliced and seeded
  • 1/2 c. orange liqueur
  • 1/2 gal. Rhine wine, chilled
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle sugar over lemon slices.
  2. Press lemon slices with the back of a spoon to release flavor. Stir in orange liqueur.
  3. Chill. Stir in wine; pour over ice in a punch bowl.
  4. Add club soda; stir lightly to blend.
