  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes or small can tomato sauce

  2. Remove bacon and dry it off.
  3. Pour out all but 2 tablespoons of bacon grease.
  4. Add 2 cups of diced ham to the pan and brown it lightly.

Tips & Substitutions

For a smoky flavor, try using smoked bacon or adding a dash of smoked paprika. If you're short on time, leftover cooked meats can substitute for the diced ham. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste; a touch of garlic powder or onion powder can enhance the flavor. This dish is versatile, so feel free to add vegetables like peas or bell peppers for extra nutrition.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Kettle Supper hot with a side of cornbread or buttery crackers for a satisfying meal. A simple green salad or steamed vegetables can complement the dish nicely. For a heartier option, pair it with a bowl of Beef Potato Soup for a comforting dinner experience.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover Kettle Supper can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm it in a saucepan over medium heat, adding a splash of water if it appears too thick.
