Ingredients

  • 3 cups white baking pieces
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons finely shredded lime peel
  • 2 tablespoons bottled Key lime juice or regular lime juice
  • 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Instructions

  1. Line an 8x8 or 9x9 inch baking pan with foil, extending over the edges, and butter the foil. Set aside.
  2. In a heavy saucepan, stir the white baking pieces and sweetened condensed milk over low heat until the baking pieces are melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the finely shredded lime peel and lime juice.
  4. Mix in 1 cup of chopped macadamia nuts.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. If desired, sprinkle additional chopped macadamia nuts on top.
  6. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until firm.
  7. Lift the fudge from the pan using the edges of the foil. Peel away the foil.
  8. Cut into pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
