Ingredients

  • 4 c. grated raw potatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 lb. fresh or salt pork

Instructions

  1. Mix grated raw potatoes, salt, and flour in a bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into balls with your hands.
  3. Insert small pieces of pork into the center of each dumpling.
  4. Add additional flour if necessary to prevent sticking.
  5. Drop the dumplings into boiling salted water.
  6. Cover and boil for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. Serve hot with butter.
