Ingredients

  • 7 c. sifted flour
  • 1 large cake yeast or 2 dry pkg.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 2/3 c. scalded milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/3 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. golden raisins

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and set aside.
  2. Cool milk and add sugar.
  3. Stir.
  4. Add yeast and work in the other ingredients. Let dough rise.
  5. Place in 2 loaf pans (9 x 5-inches) or you can use 2 cake pans (9-inch round).
