Instructions

  1. Chop or shred firm cabbage heads.
  2. In a 5 gallon crock, place alternating layers of
  3. cabbage
  4. and
  5. sprinklings of salt (about 1/2 cup of salt to a
  6. gallon
  7. of cabbage).
  8. Do not add water as the cabbage produces its own juice.
