Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt a stick of oleo (butter) in a Pyrex dish.
  2. Make batter by mixing sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Pour the batter on top of the melted butter.
  4. Then pour the can of fruit over the batter.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes until the batter rises to form a crust over the fruit.
  6. Serve warm with a dip of vanilla ice cream.
