Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • juice of 1 1/2 lemons
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Beat together the egg yolks, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Freeze in a refrigerator tray for 1 hour or more.
  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
  4. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold the egg whites and whipped cream into the lemon mixture.
  6. Freeze again until firm before serving.
