Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lentils
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 garlic cloves

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Add dry lentils and cover.
  3. Simmer for 45 minutes until lentils are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and drain.
