Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. chilled butter
  • 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add chilled butter and cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Pour in milk and stir until a firm dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and divide into 4 equal pieces.
  5. Using a floured rolling pin, roll each piece into a 7 to 8-inch circle.
  6. Place each rolled dough onto a greased baking sheet.
