Lynn's Meat Balls are flavorful, juicy meatballs made with a blend of meats, seasoned with herbs, and simmered in oil for a hearty, satisfying dish perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground pork
  • 3 lb. ground chuck
  • 3 lb. ground meat (regular)
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground meats with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  2. Add eggs, bread soaked in milk, and chopped onions to the meat mixture.
  3. Squish the mixture together and form large meatballs.
  4. Pour enough vegetable shortening and olive oil into a pan to cover the bottom, about 1/2 inch.
  5. Simmer the meatballs in the oil until they are cooked through and browned.
  6. Remove the meatballs and set aside in a large skillet.
