Macadamia Nut Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 egg whites
  • 5 ounces macadamia nuts, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine the cake flour, baking powder and salt. Add the egg yolks and milk; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Blend in the vanilla. Pour in the butter, mixing well. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff and fold gently into the batter. Add the nuts. Bake in a hot waffle iron.
