Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp shortening
  • 1 Tbsp yeast
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Beat together the eggs, salt, sugar, baking powder, and shortening.
  2. Add 1 cup boiling water to the mixture.
  3. Put yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water.
  4. Let the yeast stand for 20 minutes.
  5. Combine the yeast mixture with the other ingredients and add flour.
  6. Knead the dough, let it rise and make into rolls.
  7. Let the rolls rise in the pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
