Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter or oleo
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups sliced peaches

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, and milk together in a bowl.
  3. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan without stirring.
  4. Add the sliced peaches on top of the batter in layers.
  5. Sprinkle with 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar on top.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes at 350°F.
