- Use one pie crust for the bottom and one for the top, keeping the top crust frozen until ready to use.
- Peel and core the apples; slice them into the pie shell.
- Sprinkle allspice, sugar, and flour over the apples. Dot with 1/4 stick of margarine.
- Cover the pie with the top crust.
- Slice holes in the top crust, dot with the remaining margarine, and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar.
- Bake the pie at 425°F for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 35 minutes.
